Last Friday I went along with the team from myhairdressers.com to shoot behind the scenes at their latest collection. Fashion photographer Wolfgang Mustain was the photog, and Lee Stafford and Stacey Broughton the hairdressers, with colour by Bee Dixon, and a load of assitants, make-up artist Nora Nona and stylist Haiden Medina.
Wolfgang’s final images will be published in November, in one of the hairdressing mags, and Lee and Stacey will be showing the cuts off at HairClubLive in Leicester, which I’ll also be covering.

Lee Stafford, Stacey Broughton, Steve Turner and Bee Dixon gave a crowd pleasing performance at Mondays Redken Tribe 09 hair show at hip London venue Koko . The team which also included a host of assistants, themed the show “Staffords Got Talent” with a mock talent show that included Stacey donning a magicians cape and performing some of his unique “magic”. I was there taking pictures of the show and the preparations backstage.
A troupe of gorgeous dancers with hair by the Team, performed an inspiring Pulp Fiction routine, while Steve Turner placed 15 wefts into soul star Kym Mazelle’s hair for an outrageous and show stopping performance of her hit Young Hearts Run Free. A special appearance by Lee’s good friend Nicky Clarke gave the audience an unexpected surprise.
Tribe by Redken is one of the UK’s biggest and most prestigious shows, with visitors from around the UK packing the venue to see the best UK hairdressers. Lee Stafford said, “This was a big show and we spent weeks in preparation. Stacey, Steve, Bee and the whole team produced some fantastic hair and the audience response was off the hook.”
